Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the Eunoia app and its services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them together with our privacy policy. If you use Eunoia from the App Store, Apple's standard terms for apps also apply.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 years old to use Eunoia, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
- Keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can stop using Eunoia and delete your account whenever you like.
Eunoia is free for now
Everything in Eunoia is free today. In the future some sounds, stories or features may become part of a paid plan. We will never charge you without asking first, and a sound or story that is already in one of your routines when it becomes part of a paid plan stays available to you in that routine.
Your stories and recordings
- The stories you write, record or import stay yours.
- So that Eunoia can work, you allow us to store them, process them (for example to trim silence, even out the volume and convert them to a format your iPhone streams well) and play them back to you. Nobody else can see or hear them.
- Only import audio you have the right to use. Do not upload anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
Using Eunoia fairly
Please do not try to reach other people's data, interfere with or overload the service, get around its limits, or copy and resell our sounds, stories or design. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Our sounds and stories
The white noises, stories, text and design in Eunoia belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may use them in the app for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Not medical advice
Eunoia is a tool for relaxing and winding down. The nightly summaries and weekly reports are estimates made from what you played, your alarm and your answers; they are not medical measurements, and nothing in Eunoia is medical advice. If you have trouble sleeping or are worried about your health, please talk to a doctor.
Alarms rely on your iPhone. Keep it charged and its alarms allowed, and do not rely on Eunoia alone when waking up on time is critical.
The service
We work hard to keep Eunoia available and your data safe, but the app is provided as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. We may change or retire features, and we will give notice in the app before removing anything important.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
